Objectives:
- To gain an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of MUM within VCHA-PHC.

- To define formulary management and discuss the components necessary for success.
- Outline the steps necessary for addition/deletion of formulary items.
- To gain an understanding of how drug data procurement can support decisions and improve pharmacotherapy in the institution
- Understand the similarities and differences between software applications that are currently available for DUE data management
- Understand the DUE process including prioritizing target drugs, establishing DUE criteria, methods of intervention, implementation of programs, evaluation of patient outcomes & economic outcomes.
- Outline possible methods of alerting pharmacy/medical staff of cost alterations in drug therapy.
- Be familiar with the current investigational/clinical drug trial procedures
- Differentiate between special access (SAD), investigational new drugs (IND) and clinical drug trials.
- Identify and document adverse drug reactions obtained from historical patient charts.
